12 Full ‘Seed Our Community’ Scholarships Offered for 2026
2026 will be a sacred year.
2026 will be pregnant with possibility for the Grief Massage movement.
2026 will ask much of us.
We will need an energetic cocoon of mutual support and community as Grief Massage students, Grief Massage advocates and Grief Massage practitioners - a place we can gather ritually and be held in solidarity consistently. A network of support that has deep roots and committed members.
To that end, we are seeking 12 massage therapists who want to receive our comprehensive training in Grief Massage and who are also willing to deeply commit to helping seed our new virtual community of Grief Massage students and alumni for the years ahead.
What we ask: Please commit to attending each of our new upcoming monthly Community Circles, which will be held on the Sunday evenings closest to each months new moon. Exact dates: Sundays 7-8 pm EST on: 1/18, 2/15, 3/15, 4/12, 5/17, 6/14, 7/12, 8/9, 9/13/ 10/11, 11/8, 12/6.
Each community circle will be virtual and will meet on Zoom.
As a Seed Our Community scholarship recipient, we will rely on your continued presence at each monthly gathering to help build the energy foundation of the group. Your presence is all we ask for - you will not be asked to do anything aside from being part of the monthly Community Circle meetings.
Format: Each Community Circle will open with a time for introductions and sharing experiences from the previous month, and then Aimee will facilitate the group in setting Grief Massage related intentions for the coming month. There will be time to engage in discussion and mutual support, and all members will be invited to participate in sharing/receiving optional Reiki at the closing of the circle.
Why We Need Community Seeders: Each of the 12 scholarship recipients will be essential for crafting the sacred foundation of this monthly community event because it is your commitment to attending and showing up for each meeting that will stoke the fire of community and help the energy to build.

The Scholarship Details: Please download an application form here on our learning portal. After completing your application, email the form to Aimee. You will be notified within 90 days if your application for a Seed Our Community Scholarship is approved.
The value of each scholarship awarded is $395. Scholarships will be in the form of 1) fully covered tuition for the 40 CE self-paced online course bundle “The Joy of Grief Massage” or 2) fully covered tuition for the March/April 2026 15 CE Zoom “The Joy of Grief Massage” training.
We ask that only fully licensed massage therapists or current massage students apply for this scholarship.

Community Service Scholarships
Our scholarship program will continue and expand for BIPOC identified massage therapists and/or massage therapists who identify as members of marginalized communities who desire to train in Grief Massage.
Two quarterly scholarships will be available: Winter 2025, Spring 2026, Summer 2026 and Fall 2026.
What we ask: Please create a plan for how you will serve your local community through Grief Massage. This could look like offering sliding scale or no-cost Grief Massage sessions in your private practice, volunteering at a local grief focused non-profit organization or facilitating educational talks about Grief Massage in your city or town.
Be creative. There is no required number of hours and no prescribed pre-set guidelines for being of service. We simply ask that our scholarship recipients create a plan to be of service and share their ideas with us.

The application period will open on November 15, 2025 and will close when two applications have been received and approved.
How it Works: Two scholarships valued at $395 (the cost of tuition to either the 40 CE self-paced online “The Joy of Grief Massage” training or the 15 CE Zoom “The Joy of Grief Massage” class series) will be awarded for Winter 2025.
Recipients can choose to either enroll in the online self-paced course or in the March/April Zoom training which will meet Sunday evenings 5:30 - 8:30 pm EST.
If you are not awarded a scholarship for the current period, you are welcome to apply for the Spring 2026 cycle, or to consider applying for another type of scholarship such as the Seed Our Community scholarship.
We ask that only fully licensed massage therapists or massage students apply for this scholarship.

Classes Offered at Accessible Prices for All
Being in right relationship matters. When we give to the point of exhaustion and burnout, we can deplete ourselves.
When treat our own gifts and offerings in an extractive way that commodifies our soul work and demands constant productivity, we can break our own hearts.
Translation: It is important to be in right relationship with our own work and to feel good about the prices we charge.
The pricing for our Grief Massage trainings and other classes is meant to strike a balance between making this work accessible to the massage therapists who wish to train with us AND honoring the financial needs of the those who educate, create, channel, hold space and birth this work into the world.
